Instagram will close the Mandiri Messaging Application at the end of the year. Following a report on the potential for shutdown last week, the company confirmed it moved forward with a decision in a statement for TechCrunch.
“We are now focusing our efforts to improve how you connect with close friends on Instagram, and devote the utas application,” Instagram spokesman told the outlet. “We bring the fun and unique features that we have in utas to the main Instagram application, and continue to build the way people can better connect with their close friends on Instagram.”
Instagram will begin to notify the user of the upcoming sunset on November 23. Notifications will direct those individuals to use the company’s main application to keep chatting with their friends. When Instagram stops support for utas, it will delete the software from the App Store and Google Play. It will also record users from experience.
This is not a surprise to see the tube joining Meta (previous Facebook) grave. Although some interesting features and facts have been around since 2019, it has never attracted a dedicated user base. What’s more, the ambition of meta messaging has evolved significantly since the application debut. In 2020, began to unite Instagram and Facebook Messenger, which allowed users on two platforms to send each other. At that time, there were not many purposes for utas.
